It has come to our attention that a group which identifies itself as “The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Organisation” has been sending out letters and emails to MSC Malaysia Status Companies to solicit advertisements for the preparation and publication of a purported “Multimedia Communication, Multimedia & Technology Directory 2011/2012”.
As “MSC Malaysia”, “Multimedia Super Corridor” and other statements indicating a connection to “MSC Malaysia” and “Multimedia Super Corridor” have been repeatedly used and mentioned in the letters and emails issued by the purported organisation, we would like to emphasise that we do not have any business or collaborative relationship with such an organisation and have never authorised or endorsed this particular publication and/or such other initiatives that may be carried out by the purported organisation. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has also affirmed that it has not issued any statements to such an organisation and has not sanctioned the purported publication.
We strongly encourage MSC Malaysia companies to alert us if you are approached for this or any other similar 'initiative' via MSC Malaysia Client Contact Centre at 1 800 88 8338 or email: clic@mdec.com.my.
