Revised Expatriate Salary and Employment Pass Policy FAQ and Briefing Deck
Dear Valued Clients,
Greetings from the Expats Service Centre!
Please be informed that the Revised Expatriate Salary and Employment Pass Policy will be implemented effective 1 June 2026.
To support companies in preparing for the implementation, MDEC is sharing the FAQ and Briefing Deck as reference materials. The materials may be accessed through the links below:
Companies are reminded that complete applications submitted before 1 June 2026 will continue to be assessed under the existing policy, subject to the applicable submission requirements. For renewal applications, submission must still be made within the permitted three-month renewal window.
We also wish to highlight that eligible EPIII applications within the Global Business Services (GBS) sector involving roles requiring native or near-native language proficiency can continue to be assessed under the existing salary requirements until 1 June 2027.
Eligibility is subject to MDEC assessment and verification requirements.
Companies that foresee significant operational impact arising from the implementation of the revised policy are encouraged to engage MDEC for further discussions. Any consideration remains subject to the applicable policy requirements and approval by the relevant authorities.
MDEC will continue to facilitate engagement with relevant stakeholders and authorities in reviewing implementation-related concerns, where appropriate.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
